Mike Kelley, owner of Beach Activities of Maui has more than 30 years of experience with luxury resort hotels, beach and pool service management, concierge and ocean recreation operations. Started in 1977, BAM has gone from one location in Ka'anapali to now being the largest pool and ocean recreation services company in Hawaii with over 18 resort locations and a diversified staff of over 240 people professionals.

As he built the company into the organization it is today, Kelley also helped design the pool and beach facilities for nine major resort hotels throughout Hawaii. Working through pre-construction to opening he coordinated layout of facilities, service deliveries, area concepts, staffing and budget guidelines.

In addition to resort pool, beach and concierge services Kelley has started other successful operations including Honua ula a Hawaiian luau show at the Wailea Marriott, The Spa at Black Rock (recently opened at Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa), Sunglass Solutions, an upscale retail sunglass store at the Outrigger Reef Hotel in Waikiki and Teralani Catamarans, two 65’ day charter vessels based in Ka’anapali.

Kelley served for four years on the international board of Young President's Organization and chaired the international events committee for three of those years. He is also a past Maui County Small Business Person of the Year as designated and honored by the United States Small Business Association, twice selected as a finalist for Ernst & Hawaii Young Entrepreneur of the Year and was recognized for Retailer of the Year award from the Hawaii Retail Merchants Association.

David Weiss has over 20 years of executive level sales, marketing and operations experience in Hawaii. Prior to joining BAM, David spent 3 years in charge of Starwood Vacation Ownership sales and marketing operations on the Island of Oahu as a Project Director in Waikiki.

Previous to Starwood, David worked at the executive level for Embassy Vacation Resorts in Hawaii for 10 years holding several positions including Regional Vice President and Regional Director of Operations. As Executive Vice President of Beach Activities Maui, he has executive level responsibilities for BAM, and its related companies.

David has lived on Maui since 1980, together with his wife Vanessa they have 3 boys; Chris 20 and 17 year old twins Matt and Mike.

Prior to joining BAM, Paula was working as a strategic business partner to senior executives in the development of high performance organizations such as AlliedSignal/Honeywell, Amazon.com and United Healthcare. She has utilized her experience in organization design, change management, training and communications and her Six Sigma certification in process improvement to strengthen cultures, optimize resources and implement best practices. In addition, Paula has extensive experience in the sales arena with a focus on Sales training and performance coaching. At BAM, Paula will assist in developing and implementing our sales and marketing strategies and developing engagement training for our staff and management through the State of Hawaii.

Paula lives on Maui with her husband and they both enjoy visiting their daughter in California and son in New York City.

Alex Vorobieff has over 16 years of financial management experience in a wide range of industries including hospitality, aerospace, real estate and health care. During the past ten years Alex has worked with a number of entrepreneurial companies and led the process of developing the infrastructure necessary to grow successfully.

Alex received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree with an Emphasis in Accounting from the University of Southern California and his Master in Business Administration from UCLA. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Alex worked for Ernst & Young and received a certified public accountant license.

Beth Oldenburg joined Beach Activities of Maui as Director of Operations in May of 2009.  Prior to BAM, Beth was with Starwood Vacation Ownership for 6 years as a Senior Financial Analyst working closely with Sales and Marketing leaders on Maui, Oahu and Kauai.  Beth graduated from University of Iowa with degrees in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Beth was a member of the Iowa Women’s Varsity Soccer team and played 3 years of semi-pro soccer after graduation.

Beth has lived on Maui since September of 2002 and enjoys spending her free time surfing, playing soccer, photography and enjoying Maui.
